300/300 Club grows by 50%? 75%?!

Non-baseball geeks tune out now...

It is looking very possibly that baseball's 300/300 Club (comprised of players with at least 300 career home runs and 300 career stolen bases) may go from four to six by season's end.

Los Angeles Angel of Anaheim Steve Finley is almost a lock to join Barry and Bobby Bonds, Willie Mays and Andre Dawson as long as he stays healthy enough to hit 8 more home runs this season.

Itinerant left fielder Reggie Sanders, who many thought might fall short, seems destined for the club as well, needing 8 more stolen bases (he has 9 so far this season) and 17 more home runs (he has 12 so far this season) to become the sixth member of the club.

Now if The Rickey can just hit 3 home runs for a major league club before season's end...
